This blog/website has been created to promote Maria Matthew’s books among the vast sea of published books.
The Runaway Schoolhouse was published almost ten years ago, and since then, it has found a pool of readers who tell me they like it. The story was written without a moral point, but somehow, during the writing and editing process, the term – the grass is not always greener on the other side – sprang to mind.
I foolishly believed my work was complete when the book was published and received a few reviews. Our book is out there, and it will be read.
How wrong was I? Through this website/blog, I aim to connect with younger readers through their parents. I also offer some short stories about the book’s various characters and new stories to read. They can be found among my blog posts.
I think most authors discover that the work is only beginning when we publish our books. It’s eye-opening how many hats we need to wear, but it can also be a lot of fun to connect with readers and authors. Enjoy.
Thank you for taking the time to read and reply to my post. Yes, I have discovered that writing opens a lot of new doors that require some juggling to fit everything into a day or week.
