If my future self could send me one sentence, what do I hope it would say?
Well done for believing in the power of you, and stepping forward to do the task in hand. I write this as I am watching a baby swallow being encouraged by its frantic parents to take flight. It reminds me of the number of times that self-doubt stopped a much younger me from taking part or giving it all. I hope that the changes I am making have a positive impact on my future years.
But that changed when I reached my mid-fifties, and I became aware, highly aware, that life does not get easier with age. It becomes more challenging. We now have to navigate some circumstances beyond our control, health for instance. And learn more about those we can control, how we view the world and our place in it.
Do you agree?
